In order for a part or tool to be printed, it must be re-engineered and optimized for the printing process. During this phase, we will examine the drawing or model and through collaboration with the customer complete a re-design to make a more efficient part.

The BAAM system is one of few 3D Printers out there with an open source system in  place in regards to materials. That being said there are thousands of possibilities ready to be printed. This  allows us to print materials that have never been 3D Printed before, opening up the number applications for BAAM to be almost unlimited.

If there isn’t an off the shelf solution, we can partner with our material suppliers to tailor material properties and specs to your specific application.

Our printing capabilities allow us to output up to 80lbs of material an hour at a variety of different nozzle sizes, allowing us to achieve different printed resolutions. This large output allows us to create very large printed parts and tools at a very fast rate.

Up to 80lbs of material deposited per hour.

With in-house machining capabilities, we can take near-net prints and machine them to tolerance according to our customers’ prints. Our large 5-Axis Router has a 10′ x 20′ bed to accommodate large parts and tools.

COATINGS & FINISHES

For some applications, your print may be finished after the actual printing or machining process. However some projects may require further post-processing in the form of either a standard colored finish or a highly specialized coating such as for carbon fiber/fiberglass layup tools. Either way, we can customize not only your material but also your coating to achieve your end result whatever it may be.
